Bill,

Just for the general information regarding what I might do "with all that lug". First, start with a different lug. Second, cut all the "extra" off the top lug and then get down to business.

I haven't seen the bike and I don't care to make any comments on it. Other than of course, Roland Della Santa is a great guy and a great framebuilder.

Well, I finally got to see the Della Santa with the extended head tube that has evoked so many comments. I had two reactions, the second of which was: It ain't pretty, it ain't classic, but like a top tube that slants downward to a short seat tube, from a purely practical point of view, it makes sense. However, my immediate reaction was: Holy s**t, imagine what Brian Baylis could do with all that lug!
