Many thanks to the several members who responded with detailed advice (mostly in agreement) about building up a set of 28 hole SSC rims for an on-topic TT bike. These responses, along with the previous discussion thread about building strong and long lasting wheels, have been invaluable, proving once again what great resources reside in this list.
Am still quite a ways from finishing this project, but will post pics on my flickr site when done.
