[CR] Do it yourself Clear coat?

I have located 2 products in Aerosol cans. One is a SEM product which I have used to clear coat alloy wheels after painting, it is a Matte finish.
    The other is a Dominion Sure Seal clear which claims to have good depth and is safe over waterbased finishes.It is recommended for spot finishing .I have never tried this product but think it might have promise.
      Anyone have any experience with these items?Both are used in Auto refinishing.
