I think folk here are missing the point with this Merckx bike........what is wrong with it to be 'period correct' is the fact it has Eddy Merckx on it.......along with Universal 68s.......I don't believe he ever rode a bike with HIS name with 68s.....Campag brakes YES

Also the stem is wrong......should have the nutted type And why has it got the yellow bands celebrating his as yet UN WON victorys in the TDF!

And yes, Merckx and Addorni were using the 'no name Campag brakes' certainly in the 1968 Cynar Lugano TT [those of you who have viewed my flickrsite will have spotted the pic of Addorni lining up for the start] and they were both riding FAEMA badged bikes.
