I recall Sugden & Lynch having a stack of Del Mundos an their floor marked $8.95 in 1971-72 . It was no later than that as I left my job at the Car Dealer there in 1972. As a value or cost comparative, I was a Union Partsman and as a Journeyman I was making $6,50 per hour at the time our shop rate was $28.50. Today you would be hard pressed to find a dealership on the peninsula whos shop rate would be less than $140 today.
In 1973 or 74 wholesale on Del Mundos,250 Setas and Paris Robaiux tires were about $12,00 as by then I was a wholesale rep for a Distributor. Clements and most everything else continued to be available direct and many shops went that way .
