Hi Dmitry, all. My copy of Campy Catalog #14 [from Chuck Schmidt's Velo Retro] is in Italian as yours may be. So I can't be exactly sure what they're referring to. But Catalog #15 [also from Chuck] is in English and quite clear. Part#629 is the lovely double downntube cable stop. Part#628 is a single downtube cable stop. W/ the clamping bolt in the normal position under the downtube it's a right hand [i.e. rear der.] cable stop. W/ the bolt above the downtube [flipped] it'll serve as a left/front der. cable stop. though not so pretty. There is no specific left front cable stop. If you look back at page 16 in Cat.#14 you'll see 2 pics of #628 in different rotations but they're both right hand. You could always do the unthinkable and file off the right stop on a #629. Good luck. Billy Ketchum; Chicago, IL; USA.

Hi,

I'm looking for Campagnolo part# 628 - it's a downtube clamp-on cable stop (not guide) for the front cable only (shown on page 16 of Campy catalogue 14). Please let me know if you have one for sale, many thanks.
