Subject: [CR] Attention all Jack Taylor owners. Seattle Bike Expo 2010

Ken Taylor (Jack's brother and partner) will be our guest at the Seattle Bike Expo and Classic Bike show March 13-14, 2010.? This is a fairly large show, and this year is being held in a new, brightly lit, warm, dry facility, the Smith Cove cruise ship terminal, just north of downtown Seattle.? We will have lots of space for the classic bike show, and it will last both days.? We will be giving a presentation which will include the BBC documentary of the Taylors from 1985, a special video greeting from Jack (he was invited too, but is 92 now and not up to the trip), and a slide show of historic Taylor pics, after which Ken will answer questions and talk about the old days.? There will probably be Jack Taylor?hats and t-shirts, as well as large format pictures, and perhaps wool jerseys for sale (I may have to take pre-orders for those) Ken will hang around the Classic Bike show for chat and autographs.?

The Classic Bike show is something I have organized for several years, and has been only one day in the past, and attracted only 40-50 bikes usually.? This year we would like to at least double the number of bikes, and we would like to have a record number of Taylors together in one place.? So if you can possibly make it, we would love to have you come.? Let me know if you are a maybe, and I will put you on a list for future mailings.? If enough out-of-towners want to come, I will organize a block of hotel rooms and get some kind of deal for them.? And by the way, all classic bikes are welcome, not just Taylors!? We have quite a lot of them in this area.? English bikes, Italian bikes, French bikes, Paramounts, you name it.? I will be displaying up to 40 of my bikes if I can manage it.

By the way, I have two Taylors in my shop for paint right now, one that came from Jack earlier this year, and has never had paint before. Watch for them in my flickr pages in a few weeks:? http://www.flickr.com/photos/8379107@N03/collections/72157607051898889/
