Here is a supposedly original 1977 Campagnolo crankset, and I noticed that the flutes on this factory crankset are uniform (the same width all the way down the crank) :

vs. my gazelle-pantograph 1977 crankset & 198x non-drive side arm:

Compare all 3 arms to the non-drive side arm in the Gazelle photo. The non-drive side arm has milling marks in the flute and the flute tapers thinner as it goes out to the pedal eye.

So I am asking ( just in case someone has a large stable of bikes or likes to match cranksets perfectly) :

- In what years were the flutes uniformly wide and polished out? => 1977 seems like one of the years.

- In what years were the flutes tapering and milling marks present? => 1974, 198x are some candidate years.

I am looking for a 170mm non-drive side crank arm (9/16) either pantographed "Gazelle" or with uniform flutes, so that I can stencil "Gazelle" into the flutes of the crankset (or have someone do it, I know the owner of the original stencils.)
