I thought the first edition of Sutherland's manual would be useful for pre-70s vintage bike specs, so I obtained one. My motivation was British bikes of the 1950s and earlier. I found the first edition of Sutherland's manual to be sparse in information in general, like they were just getting started on compiling bike specs.

Perhaps Sutherland's second or third edition is better or more complete for pre-70s bike specs? I know it isn't the first edition, but maybe that is all there is (?)
