That could be a plausible assumption. Gazelle acquired Locomotief in 1968, Locomotief had a big history in racing, and Gazelle could have just integrated the framebuilding people of Locomotief into their own factory. Although, Locomotief was based in Amsterdam, and Gazelle in Dieren, over 100 kms away ... Intriguing all the same, maybe someone with actual knowledge will step forward!
