To each their own, but IMHO that beautiful horse deserves a better fate than the corrosion that will turn it into a pile of dust over the next 10 years.

If it is stored in dry museum conditions it may last 30 more years, but more typical environments will continue to reduce (ok oxidize) it to its natural state of FeO3.

This bike should be used as an example to everyone of how to conserve a bike as opposed to how to 'restore' it. We as a group can debate the terms back and forth all day but as they say a picture is worth a thousand words.

I have one question about the bike. What is the screw on the back of the headtube for? http://www.speedbicycles.ch/302/compare/win_040.html I've never seen that before.
