All,

I got caught like this some time ago, and it took me months to get it sorted out, and get my account back. Never, never, never go there!

A good rule on this is never hit "reply" on an email like this -- even if it looks legitimate. You don't want to reply to the email and then get directed to a page that requires your password, etc. That is a classic scheme to get passwords. The best thing is to log on to ebay and go to "my ebay" -- if it is a real offer, it should be listed there with your messages. If you want to act on it, do it from your "my ebay" page.

Fratelli,

I recently received a 2nd chance offer on a rare item and was wondering if ebay ID: erikk-88 from the Emilia Romagno region is a CR list member (if so, please contact me) or if anybody has recent dealings with him that might fwd me his email address. I ask only because of recent email security issues and haven't responded to the email from ebay (which does look quite legit).

Grazie, Ciao
