Very true.  The Brooks Pro saddle on my early 70s Raleigh Pro Mark IV had the small rivets rather than the large, filed down rivets of the Brooks Team Pro.  That saddle followed me through several bikes and was undoubtedly the most comfortable saddle I've ever owned!
