It was the usual suspects at the 7:00 am vendor set-up at the Trexlertown swap this past Saturday morning. As always, Sam Fitzsimmons brought a van load of neat stuff which he drags clear across the infield to the farthest point from the velodrome entrance. So Sam is unfolding his swap table, it's a swap table in the broadest sense of the term; the top has a big belly in it, it has 3 or more legs (of unequal length) that grope for an uneven surface in a vain attempt to find footing. As Sam gets it assembled it wobbles to-and fro in valient defiance of gravity. A neighboring swap vendor suspiciously watches the rich pageant unfolding and directs several disparaging remarks about the table to Sam, at which point Sam rallies to its defense and rebuts:
"It's the Dodge Dart of swap tables".
It was worth the 336 mile round trip drive just to hear that.
