Hi all, silly as it sounds, I'm coming up with a list of tube manufacturers over the years (some dead and gone) and the choice of valve cap color used for each maker. Here's what I have so far in terms of colored caps: Salsa: Red Slime Tubes: NEON GREEN! Continental: Yellow Vintage Michelin: White (so I'm told).
Who made blue? Purple? Pink? Orange? Do they exist?
If this interests anyone or if anyone has more info on other companies and their colors please join in! If this seems like a complete waste of time, then by all means ignore and delete. I get a kick out of looking at my 7-eleven Merckx and its red and green caps. Also if anyone has a stash of colored caps they'd like the get rid of please contact me off list. Thinking of raiding Bikeworks here in NYC. I have a feeling Dave's got a rainbow of caps in there! Happy week to all.
