Tom, your wrong about being wrong...seller stated "The serial L73611 is not visible...seems the chrome was polished...". My P'mounts of the period have quite deep stamping of serial# on dropout. It would take deliberate effort (grinder) to polish away in prep for re-chrome. Not to say it isn't genuine, but preponderance of the evidence seems to indicate just that....and that's without an actual in-person examination! My only wonder now is how much this much-maligned (or praised in some cases) frameset will sell for?
