Hi Hwe, Check the diameter of the seat post. If it is 26.4 it is French. If it is 26.2 it is old Italian (doubtful) If the seat post is 27.0 or 27.2, it is British frame. The number on the Nervex BB shell is not the frame number. I would be interested what the seat post is. Get a caliper or take it to your friendly machine shop, automotive shop, bicycle shop or even an auto parts store and check it out.

HIi Kim,

The seatpost is steel as far as the magnet I just stuck to it. Why the value in the steel post? Rear hub is also Airlite and I have just cleaned it up. I'll post pics if I get the chance later.

Thanks for everyone's help so far. Can't wait to get it all back together but I have at least a 4 week wait for the cranks to be chromed.

Hi Hwe, if the seatpost is steel, than you have a rather valueable Campy part on your hands. Crank, pedals and one hub are labeled Chater-Lea, the rear hub is an Airlite; all in all very nice bits. The frame has a great fork crown, the anglophile collectors will have quite a base to work from with those pictures. Best, kim
