Subject: [CR] Early 80's De Rosa without a heart =(

Hello all, I just purchased an early 80's De Rosa Pista that has been refinished by Marinoni in Canada.  There isn't a heart to be found on any lug and the BB shell appears to be Cinelli.  Was it common to not have any heart cutouts on De Rosa frames of this time?  My guess is that since it's a Pista model it would be a bare bones workhorse with no fancy cutouts or other ornate features a road model would have.  I'm hoping I'm correct.  The frame also lacks a serial number but I think this is also common.  I've been looking around on the internet and my Pista model does share some similarities to other De Rosas out there.  It's also extremely close to my Eddy Merckx Pista model of the same time (same lugs, same BB shell, same seat cluster and caps) aside from the chain stay shape.  Is there a connection there?  My point is that I'm a bit bummed that I don't have a heart!
Best,
