I didn't see why it was off topic in the first place - new tires don't 'fit' on an old bike, but you have to use them. Glad someone answered the question, thx.

I've had success printing on a color laser printer, on to transparent sticky-backed paper, then crop carefully and stick. Some of the repro stickers on eBay are produced this way. There are especially rugged stickers available for 'security' uses such as ID tags for leased equipment, that would stick better to something like a tire.

To keep it totally 'on topic' you could slice off the old logo, then affix with liquid latex to the new tires.
