John, I've tried it a few times. The base has to be perfectly smooth. In some cases they recommend polishing before painting the "chrome". If you touch it before it gets cleared, it will scratch. Once it gets cleared, it gets cloudy. I hate it, and hope I never have to use it again. It's really for hot rod guys that are doing elaborate graphics, not for bicycle guys that need durability. Just my heavily loaded opinion. Keith

I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I just received a spam email from a company that sells chrome paint. Quite pricey, but probably not when compared to actual chrome plating. Has this been tried
on bicycle frames?
