Thanks for the photo link to the Ideor Asso, Kevin and Kirke.

I've seen that particularly well-preserved machine at least once before, I believe. One of the really nice features of Ideor bikes was the flamboyant (paint over silver paint base) and chromovelato (paint over chrome) finish on some of their higher-end machines. The problem is that both versions were quite delicate and susceptible to surface paint loss and, eventually, rust. The example you point out is the nicest preserved chromovelato version I've seen.

Note, too, the extremely rare Ideor-branded saddle. Sheffield pedals were standard on most Ideor models. The Campy headset marks this as a higher model (the Asso was one notch above my model, the Asso Olimpic, which came with a Magistroni headset, even though both frames are identical). The bike retains its Ideor-branded Magistroni seat collar clamp, as I don't believe Campy made such a device. Universal brakes were standard, but when you got up to the Professional model I believe you got the Campy cotterless cranks. This Asso has cottered.
