Chris Kulczycki has begun stocking Dia Compe top-tube cable clips at Velo-Orange - these are new production. As far as I know, Chris is the only North American or European supplier of these top-tube cable clips. I don't know if there are japan suppliers, if any.
Dia Compe Royal Calipers - an excellent Nuovo Record Clone - are often for sale on Ebay in good used condition at amazing prices (like, $15-$30 for a pair of calipers in VG-Excellent condition.) Now that the top-tube clips are available, the restoration value of these calipers probably increases a lot. Because of the demand from the BMX crowd, Dia Compe clips were previously in deep shortage and sold for $7-$10 EACH if you needed them.
I'd like to thank Chris for reviving this valuable vintage item, and point out to the CR community, that Dia-Compe top-tube clips are available again, partly at my suggestion, and I hope that people in need of these clips will take advantage of Chris's great pricing so that he continue to carry the item. I already bought several sets myself.
