The Cinelli Mod. B on ebay has me thinking about a few things.

I have a Mod. B frame and fork of the same vintage that I have been staring at for the last few years. It is in need of a re-furbish (no paint, a few other indiscretions) and I had thought of building it up as sort of a randonneuse because the wheel base, angles and clearances lean toward that use. However, when I look at the listed "B" it really looks like it was meant to be a "race bike". What was the purpose of the "B" as opposed to the "A" model SC?

Thanks
