The value of a restoration and , indeed whether to restore or not, is independent of the value of the bike itself. It's dependent of what the bike means to you. I have a friend who had Cyclart do a full boat restoration on a UO8. It was his childhood bike and he wanted it back. He got it but I'll bet the restoration cost him 10 or 15 times what the bike cost originally. But it was worth it to him. Phil Brown Still recovering in Oakland, Calif.
