Subject: [CR] Restoration

What I would suggest for your Falcon is not a restoration, because you have ridden and enjoyed it through all of the changes, but a "renewal."

Pick a color scheme that you like, send the bike to an artistic painter, spend maybe half of what you would spend for a full restoration with the chrome and all.

The polish up your parts, replace what is worn out with something nice and clean, then put it back together and ride it.

It's YOUR bike, not a museum still life of a tool as it left the factory. Celebrate that! Celebrate all of those miles and memories, don't erase them by making the bike just like it was when it was new. Use the repaint to put your own stamp on the way it looks, using a painter whose original work you like.

Just my $.02 worth.
