Mark,

The hot wired clincher back in the day before hooked bead rims were the Dunlop high pressures at about 27" x 1-1/8" or very close to 28 mm. They were good because you could safely pump them up to 90 psi. I really would not do 120 psi overnight or you might wake up suddenly to a loud bang! ... if the tire waited for you to get to sleep. I'd be afraid to use anything over 100 psi for a non hooked bead rim.

Good luck and happy trails,

I received several off list postings from people who had used such a combo with good luck. Thank you

... Before riding I'll pump them up to 125 or so and let them sit overnight. Rims and tires have a +/- tolerance and judging from the chore it was getting the old tires off, I think these rims are on the plus side of the tolerance. ...
