Wayne and friends

I was hoping to make it to this Tweed ride tomorrow, but have family obligations. Most importantly, I noticed a comment in Wayne's Velo Classique blog about the ride starting near the original location of the 930 Club. Be careful - the 930 Club was in NW, but the Tweed ride starts on H Street NE.

Basically, it's 8 blocks east of Union Station. It's become a hip area, of sorts. But I used to live near there, and currently work nearby. I can assure you it's still a somewhat grungy neighborhood. If you are driving there, I would recommend parking a couple of blocks south of 8th and H NE; i.e. closer to Maryland Avenue.

Actually, I'd recommend parking on Capitol Hill proper, near the Mall if you can find a space, or near the intersection H Street NW and Massachusetts Avenue - then ride your bike to starting point.
