Hi Tom,

Yes this is truly nuts. A Campagnolo tool kit for $8,000. Are people really buying this stuff? Only you folks that watch closely would know. If this is not working, then they are wasting their time and money. If these auctions are working, someone please let me know. I could sell my old bikes and house and get out of debt. Thanks!

I see a very nice Campagnolo tool kit offered on E-Bay Item # 200397050159. The Buy It Now is $7000 or Best Offer. Recently there have been some other extremely high prices accompanied by a best offer option in the sale. Are we seeing the new normal method of selling a high priced item? I wonder if this makes good sense or not, and to whom? It sure makes for some interesting reading on my monitor! I wonder what the longer term implications are for nice vintage bikes if this gains popularity? Will it be healthy for us as riders and collectors?
