Subject: [CR] Fwd: Hose-type Frame Pumps and Valve Type

>>Were pump hoses available separately In The Day to allow these pumps to changed from Presta to Schraeder or vice versa?<<

Yes. Lapize pumps hoses (at least) came with heads for either Presta or Schrader, and in at least two different lengths. They were also available separately as replacement parts, so the pump could be changed to suit.

>>Was the pump body thread that the hose screws into the same on British and on French pumps?>>

I have both some Lapize pumps and one "Apex Inflator Co. Ultralite" made in the UK pump (from my Raleigh Super Tourer), and the threading is the same on both, so I suspect that holds true for most pumps.

And yes, I have NOS Presta-head hoses for Lapize and other similar pumps in stock. CR price is $6 each plus $4 for bubble-lined bag and postage to Cont-US (up to about 5 per bag). Please contact me off list.
