Does anybody have a badly indexing Campagnolo NR/SR headset that they'd be willing to loan for examination? It shouldn't be that difficult to figure out what happened to it, and Bicycle Quarterly is willing to underwrite this research. (My own Campy headsets are fine, and I hope they stay that way!)

We'd need the lower cup and crown race AND the ball bearings that were in the headset when it developed the indexing. We'll return the parts after the (non-destructive) tests are complete.

Contact me off-list, please.
