>From the decals, that is a mid-70's PX-10, or maybe PX-10LE. Very much a transition era for that model. Still has the fancy Nervex lugs of the early 70's, and some of the decals, but the DT decal was updated around 1974 or 1975. Hard to know what equipment is original. A year or two earlier a PX-10 would have had plastic Simplex Criterium derailleurs, non-Retrofriction alloy Criterium shifters, Normandy Luxe hubs with Atom QR, Lyotard 45D pedals, AVA bars and stem, Simplex badged seatpost, Ideale 90 or Brooks Pro saddle and Stronglight 93 cranks.

Yours has a lot of newer model components including the SLJ alloy derailleurs and Retrofriction shifters. Most or all of this gear was available when this bike was made, and did appear on the then top of the line PY-10, like the ones Thevenet used to winn a couple Tours de France. Whether it would have been original on the PX-10 is hard to say. One thing that doesn't look right is the Stronglight model 99 crank. The mod 99 was mosrly a touring model, capable of taking quite small rings, and often configured as a triple. It probably wouldn't have been original on a mostly racing model like PX-10 unless maybe the factory ran out of Model 93 that day.

Original pedals could be the older Lyotard 45D or a newer Maillard-badged descendant. Ideale 2002 would porbably have been original on PY-10 at the time, and could possibly have appeared on PX-10 as well.

\r?\n> hello all,

\r?\n>

\r?\n> i'm trying to get ahold of a f. derailleur for my px-10LE.

\r?\n> need what i

\r?\n> believe is the first model super lj, with the housing stop

\r?\n> in the front

\r?\n> where the clamp pivots, and gold label.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> i've looked into the models and as best as i can find out

\r?\n> it is a slj5000

\r?\n> that would match the equipment on my bike. this bike came

\r?\n> to me with some

\r?\n> pretty funny mix-matching, but in such great condition for

\r?\n> what was there!

\r?\n> it had matching derailleurs, and some of the parts that

\r?\n> came with it are

\r?\n> correct. i'm very close to having it in a condition in

\r?\n> which i'll be happy

\r?\n> with.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> here are pics of the derailleur that i have. it is sad and

\r?\n> broken at the

\r?\n> cable anchor bolt. also pictures of the bicycle in

\r?\n> progress:

\r?\n>

\r?\n> if any px experts would like to share their knowledge on

\r?\n> what equipment

\r?\n> would be correct i'd love to hear it. i've read a good

\r?\n> amount of google

\r?\n> search results of  px-10, and px-10LE, and there

\r?\n> really seems to be alot of

\r?\n> vaugeness as for as how to find the year and right

\r?\n> equipment for a given

\r?\n> px-10! i have read some (but not all!) of the cr list

\r?\n> archives for px-10

\r?\n>

\r?\n> and...

\r?\n>

\r?\n> should i swap the steel downtube mounted derailleur cable

\r?\n> guide for the

\r?\n> delrin one? does either guide go more with super lj

\r?\n> derailleurs? i have a

\r?\n> delrin one i could use and am leaning that way in respect

\r?\n> to what i like and

\r?\n> what "goes"...

\r?\n>

\r?\n> i would love a simplex badged seatpost to swap out the

\r?\n> spidel one. my spidel

\r?\n> post pictured is the longer one, i'd need the longer

\r?\n> simplex post. anyone

\r?\n> want to trade seatposts? (26.4)

\r?\n>

\r?\n> also i do have a few options for pedals, and i also have a

\r?\n> nos ideal 2002 to

\r?\n> use,

\r?\n>

\r?\n> so with a front derailleur i'll be on the road!

\r?\n>

\r?\n> i would super appreciate any help on this. i am able to buy

\r?\n> outright and use

\r?\n> paypal or can work out something else for those that may

\r?\n> not want to send

\r?\n> funds through paypal. i also am into trading.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> here is the item # 260510129410 for an omas headset i have

\r?\n> on ebay. i have

\r?\n> some other items too, and would be happy to end an auction

\r?\n> early if any of

\r?\n> my items could be part of a trade for parts i mentioned

\r?\n>

\r?\n> thanks for the help and for reading! i'll be sure to post

\r?\n> pics when it's

\r?\n> done!
