Subject: [CR] For Sale Tom Board 19in frame, Wally Green, Flying Scot, Carlton 531 mixte, Viner Special Pro plus some NOS/near NOS parts B15 Swallow Campy pedals etc

Offered to CR members are some beautiful, interesting and uncommon frames together with a pair of track wheels and some NOS or virtually NOS parts.

I can take payment a number of ways - Paypal or cheque in GBP, cash sent registered post, Traveller’s cheques in $, direct bank transfer within the UK or European Iban bank transfer. I will always combine shipping in order to reduce costs.

Frames and wheels cost 80 GBP to ship to the USA, 100 GBP to ship to Australia/New Zealand and 11 GBP within the UK. A complete bike is about 120 GBP to the USA.

With the pound being still quite low in value these are a real bargain... for US and European buyers. Paypal is quoting 1.6$ to 1 GBP.

TOM BOARD ROAD FRAME 1987/88 Seat Tube (ctt): 48cm (19in) Top Tube (ctc): 50cm (20in) Rear dropout width: 125mm Wheel size: 700C Brake drop with 700C: 45mm Frame tubing: Columbus SL Seatpost size 27.2mm Tom Board built this frame in I think 1987 or 1988 for Ninon at The Bicycle Workshop in Notting Hill Gate, and then my son used it for a while when he was a lot smaller. Its rare to find a frame as small as this – in both the seat tube and top tube lengths. I am pretty certain its built from Columbus SL tubing. Its very beautifully built... 120 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Tom-Board-road.jpg

WALLY GREEN ROAD FRAME c1958 Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in) Top Tube (ctc): 57.5cm (22.75in) Rear dropout width: 120mm Wheel size: Sprints/700C Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 Seatpost size: 27.2mm Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 46mm Wally Green was primarily a trade builder building for many shops in north London in the 1950s and 60s. He built some frames under his own name and this one built with Nervex Pro lugs and Campy long dropouts is really rather nice – unusually for a frame of its age clearances are really quite tight. 79 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Wally-Green.jpg

CARLTON COURETTE MIXTE Reynolds 531 1983 Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in) Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in) Rear dropout width: 125mm Wheel size: 700C Brake drop with sprints/700C: 50mm Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 DB Quality mixte frames are few and far between – this frame was built by Raleigh’s Lightweight division in 1983 using Reynolds 531 for the main tubes. Its nicely made and the paint is in a very good condition with just a few small marks. 65 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Carlton-531-mixte.jpg

VINER SPECIAL PROFESSIONAL c1979/80 Seat Tube (ctc): 55cm Top Tube (ctc): 55cm Rear dropout width: 124mm Wheel size: 700C Seatpost size: 27.2mm Frame tubing: Columbus SL High-end Viner frames are a match for almost any other Italian framebuilder being extremely nicely built. This one is in very sound condition but has suffered from I think being used on a turbo trainer hence the paint damage to the top tube and damage to the chrome on the chainstay. The chrome on the fork is sound with just a few corrosion marks. I have rubbed back with fine emery paper on both the top tube and chainstay and this easily clears the corrosion marks but there’s essentially no chrome left on the chainstay, hence it is 125 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Viner-Sp-Pro.jpg

FLYING SCOT ROAD FRAME 1961 Seat Tube (ctt): 22.5in (57cm) Top Tube (ctc): .5 (57cm) Rear dropout width: 120mm Wheel size: 27in/700C Brake drop with sprint/700C wheel: 56mm Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted Seatpost size: 27.2mm Frame number: K273 This is an extremely sound and straight Flying Scot road frame dating from 1961. The paint is generally very good except around the bottom bracket where it has been heavily touched up. Its certainly useable as it is... The front brake drop of 56mm with 700C wheels means there’s no difficulties finding brakes to fit... 135 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Flying-Scot-1961.jpg

AIRLITE LARGE FLANGE DOUBLE FIXED 32/40H HUBS on FIAMME SPRINT RIMS (for tubular tyres) Wheels are tied and soldered in best track tradition. Chrome centres on Airlites are very good bordering on excellent Rims are lightly worn but need a good clean 75 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Airlite-LF-DF-Fiamme.jpg

BINDA EXTRA LAMINATED TOESTRAPS NOS 18 GBP per a pair http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Binda-laminated-toestraps.jpg

BROOKS B15 SWALLOW NOS virtually perfect, very rare in this condition 195 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Brooks-B15-Swallow-NOS.jpg

BROOKS B17 STANDARD almost unused but some rust on cantle plate really nice 55 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Brooks-B17-std.jpg

CAMPAGNOLO GRAN SPORT/RECORD PEDALS 1960s with toestrap loops, virtually unused there’s just a trace of a rub mark on the top of the cage everything else dustcaps etc are absolutely as new 95 GBP http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Campag-Record-60s-pedals.jpg
