Subject: [CR] Yes, smooth-sidewall Weinmann tubular rims

A while ago there was an inquiry about Weinmann tubular rims, asking if anyone knew of any that didn't have dimpling or other patterning on the sidewall, and I don't recall any response about smooth-sided Weinmanns, but I've found some in my stash.

I have a pair of Weinmann smooth-sided tubular rims, made in Belgium, 36 hole, double eyelets, labeled Carrera with a smaller sticker saying Corinal (R), light gray anodised. They're beautiful, but pretty heavy, weighing almost 500 grams ea. These are from the late l970's. I think, and I believe they were made after the better known polished rims with the CDM sticker which came with and without eyelets and whose model numbers (256?) elude me.
