Someone a couple/three weeks ago was selling a set of 590 wheels/120 spaced. #1 Who/Where are you? #2 How much? #3 Did you sell them? If #3 is an affirmative then don't worry about #1 or #2.
I would very much like to convert my 12 year old's 700c Bridgestone RB-1 to 590 so she can start touring with me. I've just discovered 590's and am a convert (is that like converting to some bizarre Hindu sect?). Mark Stonich turned me onto the inexpensive, lightweight, and white(light tan)side-walled Kenda K40's which measure about 31mm when new. They remind me of Paselas in looks and performance. At 60 psi they also perform similar to Jan's Gran Bois (not exactly so don't start calling me out). Anyway, it's another great size for converting from 700c and Col de Vies are available to boot. I built up a set for my '52 Viking Road/Path (whatever) with a Sturmey FM. Hey, it's an English size right? Oh man, what a gas. The fun and versatility of this bike just increased exponentially. Smooth and silky on pavement and bounces onto hardpack without a whimper. So Bud, if you're out there, get in touch.
