Thank you to all who responded to the Pogliaghi BB stamp inquiry. It seems to me the stamps were a way to identify a customers bike on a custom order. A Pista built for the 1972 Canadian Olympic Team http://www.flickr.com/photos/sashae/3870902165/ was stamped CANA. Another list member saw 2 stamped with the client's last name. If there was a list member who ordered a custom build directly from Pogliaghi and has their initials stamped on the BB that would be definitive proof.....Of course in early production years there may have been no need for the stamps. I'll continue to compile a list of BB Stamps. Here is what I have so far:

12,212 = RENZ 1 D882 & D878 = TS D536 = HFC 9774 = RUTH 9606 = CANA 9203 = No Stamp 7620 = 5 digit number (unable to read) 7175 = No Stamp
