Looking for more information about 2 bikes I just aquired. bot 52 cm with 54cm TT
Maruishi RoadAce 7
probably 1984 Rose colored.
Shimano 600 shifters and derailleurs. Arabesque styling.
Sakae SX 170mm 42-52 crank.
suzue sealed hubs 36 hole with Araya 700c with eyelets rims.
Diacompe sidepull brakes.
Beautiful frame with tubing sticker saying original sports frame Cro Mo.
triple butted tubing
braze-on shifters, top of bb cable guides, top of chainstay r der stop.
Nitto Olympiade bars and Nitto stem.
has Sugino PD-1000 pedals which are great platform/toeclip pedals, but
looks like no part available with a google search.
both bikes in beautiful, low mileage original shape. no dents, dings or nicks.
2nd bike Maruishi Roadace 606 I believe 1982 light teal or blue.
this one says double butted tubing. original sports frame cro mo.
Shiimano 600 arabesque hubs, brakes, crank 42-52 170mm and shifters
and derailluers. Araya 27 x 1 1/4 rims. KKt campy copy pedals.
Japanese bars, I think badged Win with maruishi stem.
Cycle Goods sticker from Minneapolis. I believe that they were sold by
Bauer Cycle Supply back then.
I am planning on refreshing the bikes as needed and looking forward to
finding out how they ride, they look fabulous.
I would love to find scans of original catalogs. Found Rich Pinder scan of
Maruishi catalog in the archives, but not these bikes.
can anyone help? Or any comments on the components or ride of the bikes?
