Additional notes: Buffers and the compounds leave behind a residue in creases and crevices of the parts that you may not notice. I use an Ultrasonic machine to clean the parts when finished. You would be amazed at what is left behind. If not available, use Hot water with detergent and a soft toothbrush to scrub clean and then dry.

If you do not want a mirror shine, just use the first cutting compound and blend any marks with the metal polish of choice. Follow with a scrub and dry with a soft cloth. Skip the red rouge or such.
