For a brief time I had two 1974 Masis, one from Carlsbad, and one from Verona. I took some comparison photos, which can be seen here.

The Italian Masi had been modified and repainted (somewhat thickly). The workmanship on the American Masi was definitely better, although the Italian is by no means bad.

Both frames were down to bare metal.?It was an interesting comparison.?I would?definitely give the edge to the Carlsbad frame.?Wish I would have taken some pictures.?
