Hello --

I just joined the list and understand it's standard practice to introduce oneself. I'ma life-long bikie, and have been /am involved with bikes in many ways (journalist, racer, event announcer, more). I've been on the fringes of the vintage bike world for a while, thanks to my Dad, Joseph Cote (1922-2008). He started racing the 1930s in Worcester, MA (US), and accumulated an extensive collection of vintage bicycles, equipment, and print media -- including a Peugeot owned by Major Taylor, which he donated to the US Bicycling Hall of Fame. I'm also beginning to sell-off the items (1890s - 1980s) that I don't want to keep (I've put a few on ebay). I'm also assembling some parts/frames into bikes I do want -- in particular, his late 1940s Drysdale Special that he had made-to-order.

I'd like to share images of the bikes for others to enjoy, share what knowledge I do have of the old stuff, and get input from all of you about some of the mystery items I have -- some early 20th century frames in particular.
