Hi Im a new comer to the forum, and it makes great reading, Im fascinated by The Bisbee Bike Brothel Does any one do a tour to it? Its along way from dear old Zumersetshire in the musty country, but Id love to see it. I need at least 12 tee shirts, but have no address for this historical artifact. We were iced in today 20th, Sunday, for our bike downhill |Chrissy run, and my newly cancer recovered wife who has just gone back to work.[ Hard to find a job as a66 year old Pole Dancer], has produced 36 juicy mince tarts and 3 ltrs of fab. mulled wine, so if youre passing, or just need to hop a flight, drop in you are all welcome. Mind you, the wine may not last long with this enforeced imprisomment. My club is Boringly called The First Chard Wheelers, I never found out if there was a second, and I reckon it should be something more catchy, any suggestions? Amongst the wheeled metal I have that isnt driven by the infernal combustion engine, is what Im told by the makes Historian, The onle Woodrup track tandem ever made. Ita a welede short wheelbase of the 50s and still in its origional paint and transfers, sorry decals. The last owner had it as a chaterlea kitted road bike and because it has a Benelux rear mech, he always thought it was a road bike. The historian cant remember his name told me that Woodrupp had a Pro team in the 50s and that this probably would have been the track tandem they used. Its for sale as are a couple of my Stan Pikes. Stan was a good friend and highly respected/ Look him up. I also have a Colnago sport, the entry level Colnago of the 70s, sprints and tubs, campag all thro. and hardle used/ All origional paint and apart from a few scratches, in great ridable condition, not expensive, For those who like cyclo X a Brit champion was Nigel Dean who was an 70/60s pro. He road for Holdsworth and I have his X bike, but it was a Holdsworth that when our Nige left them, to start his own shop, he took the bike with him and painted it in his own coulors, though I still have the Holdsworth badge for it. Its scruffy and not much dsoh. I also have anther Brit pros X bike, its a Geofry Butler and was Keith Mernickles bike. He is an old mate and lived over there for a few years. Its not in great condition anf has a slightly dented top and down tube. but has the very rare Campag single chainset with the much saught after X chain guard. Not a lot, needs restoring. Ive also got twice Tour De France rider and Brit National champions race bike, complete with race number top tube tag and all in his name, mid 90s.Also for sale. My fingers getting sore after all that lot, so. Happy Christmas all, great reading. Just call me Baz, everyone else does, probably cos thats my name......
