Merry Christmas & welcome to the CR list, Harry!

You certainly will need 700c wheels...

Brakes most likely will be short reach as well. With only a few obscure exceptions, Colnago only made race bikes.

Now the final question is whether it takes shorter attaching bolt, allen key fitted brakes or the longer bolt hex nut attached brakes. I suspect you will need the shorter version but only by inspecting the frame will you know that for certain...

Best of luck with your project!

Hi All,

New to this list so please be patient. I'm hoping somebody here will be able to help with some information. I have a circa 1979/80 Colnago Super frame on the way and I need to know whether it will be built for 700c or 27 inch wheels. Following on from that will I need the short reach NR/SR brakes or the longer/normal reach. Reason for asking is it will be some time before I actually see the bike and I have the chance of some brakes now.

Thanks for your help.

Regards
