Subject: [CR] Appropriate wheels for Colnago Super

Hi All,

I'm about to start restoring a 1979/80 Colnago Super. I've not decided how far to go down the route of period correct yet but was wondering about rims. I'd prefer clinchers, more practical here in Scotland. What should I be looking for that would be correct for the period and might have been specified when new? Would this be a reasonable goal anyway in terms of what's available? Although I am trying to use the appropriate components, Nuovo Record mostly, bike is for riding, not a museum piece. Alternative is to use Open Pros?

I've tried Velobase, info on rims is vague on dates and appropriate use.

By the way, following on from earlier post, I've established that Colnago used 700c at least from mid '70's, as most who posted suspected. Thanks.

Thanks for your help.
