Subject: [CR] Seeking Wilier Info and Headbadge

Hi All -

I am looking for post-war Wilier information. My bike seems to be from late forties early fifties (factory closed in 1952)

First Problem - I am unsure what the correct inner diamter of the seat post should be. the Seat clamp has clearly been clamped around something too small - I now have a 26.8 in there, but maybe it should be a 27mm?

Second - When I remove the seat clamp, there is copper, but when I removed the paint on the lugs, and on the tubes (have removed small spots to look), there is no copper. Though why would there be copper under the seat clamp if the bike hadn't previously been plated? maybe the bike was rusting through the copper and whoever repainted sand blasted it prior to painting?

Third - Still looking for a headbadge. Any help there would be greatly appreciated

Fourth - I'd like to try to track any info down regarding this bike, it's year of production, etc. Is there any data floating around on Wilier and their serial numbers? When did they stary using the newer campy dropouts instead of the cambio corsa drops? things like that...

Thanks,
