The Weinmann 500 is the shortest side-pull I've ever seen. On-topic part as well, so it should look right at home. There's one on the front of my daughter's Viner which came off the Pog I sold you. The slots were filed to make them longer, and the arms were dimpled with a drill for some reason so it ain't real pretty, but it works fine.
