Hi Everyone,

I just joined the list yesterday. I enjoy on- and off-road biking (pretty slowly), fixing up (to the extent of my limited skills and toolchest) bicycles, and look forward to bike touring more in the future. I'm not really into "group" rides, but like riding with buddies.

I tend to shop on Craigslist and eBay for old bikes, as I see many forum members do, too. I found a nice old Bob Jackson in Redwood City, tuned it up and gave it to my little brother. He's been riding a bit on my dad's old Stella, too.

My bike was stolen last year - a 64cm 1980's Scott Paisley touring bike that fit perfectly and is still my favorite bike. Please let me know if you see it! I include photos below. I'm currently riding a 68 cm Romic bike that I got on eBay. A nice sport touring bike, but on the tall side for me and without the nice long wheelbase and tire clearance that the Paisley spoiled me with. I also have a 25" 1987 Schwinn Paramount that gets horribly little use, repainted and chromed by CyclArt. I don't have the money for a custom bike, so if I were to replace the Romic it would probably be with a 1985 Trek 720 or maybe even a modern (!) bike like a Surly LHT.

I look forward to learning a lot from all of you. Cheers.
