Bilateral Canada-US vintage bike talks held in Ottawa!
Yesterday, I had the great pleasure to act as host to fellow CR lister Neal Lerner (who was up here for an academic conference) at our place. We didn't have a chance to share a vintage ride, but we did share much talk about bikes over a couple of pints and a BBQ. I was also able to show off my very modest collection and to trade stories of my youth with someone of the same vintage (Neal and I both share a 1960 birth-year). It was a most enjoyable, if brief, evening. Amazing how bike talk (as well as a little academic talk) can bridge cultural divides, eh?
