Subject: [CR] Galli components

Having had/still have several very nice Galli components, I would like to out to fellow CR listers what great deals that can be had these days, especially in Europe. Check this auction out, NIB Galli crit brakes for $51 + shipping... Thats pretty darn hard to beat

http://ebay.com/<blah>

While i can not tell, if this is the set that comes with Ti- bolts and fittings, this set originally cost $90 when new in late 70s. Given that they were spec'd on many high end bikes....lighter that Campy and took a beating as good as any brakes, these are a screaming deal. even at $90, which I have recently seen another set go for, these are a great deal. Galli made some vey nice rims and roller bearing BBs that are indestructible and were often considered an Upgrade from campy by made Euro riders.

In any case, I have my stock of Galli parts, and thought I would pass off this info.

Years ago, I purchased a stock 81 Rossin that was full campy SR except for these nice brakes and Galli stamped Barelli pedals/Galli Ti- toe clips. These were all factory upgrades at the time. In my hands/or under my saddle--what ever the term is--these components always acted like a charm. If you can get the non-Galli stamped Barelli pedals these days, expect to pay $100+

If there are any other listers out there that use Galli parts on their bikes, it would be great to hear of them.

(p.s. this seller----no relation to me, also has some cool old FB hubs NIB)
