The 2nd annual ride is now a week and a half away. I'd like to get some general idea of how many CR members are planning on attending this ride so please contact me off list if you plan to ride.

I have been working on developing a couple of different routes this year to ensure we do not have 17 miles of head winds on the second half of the ride. I am doing my best to also include as many rural country roads as possible, but also have better locations for water and rest breaks. Most of the possible routes are between 34-38 miles with a rest stop at approx 15mi with additional water refill points scattered within as needed. If we get lucky and don't have a repeat of last year's strong south winds we should be treated to some of the quietest back roads that east Collin County has to offer. If the winds are strong out of south again this year, we'll likely be heading to Murphy and/or Wylie so that we can have some tails winds on the second half of the ride.

We will be meeting at Celebration Park, Allen Tx on Sunday May 17th with a departure time of no later than 8:30am. I will probably be there by around 8:15 or so and plan to be riding either my 83 Gazelle AB-Frame or possibly my Serotta Nova.

Couple of options for the route:
