The diamond shaped "CS" headbadge indicates it is a Sekine ("Cycles Sekine"), a Japanese brand that I believe was imported by a firm in Canada. They may have been built in Canada at one point, not sure though. I have one of these in bright purplish-pink that I built up as a singlespeed city bike for awhile. What components remained on the bike when I took recieved it were suntour, with sunshine hubs and SR stem. These were definitely original as my father owned the bike from new. It also has a rather short top tube for the frame size (57 x 62 cm).For more information about the brand, as I recall there were a few informative threads about it on bikeforums.net when I was active on that site a couple years ago, so you may want to search there.
