Coolio's,

I gots an old frame I'm trying to positively ID.

Straight off the bat I should acknowledge that I had listed this frame on ebay and decided to cancel the auction as I thought it best to at least try to find out what the frameset was.

http://ebay.com/<blah>

or item # 200341031844

All the pics and details should be there with reference to serial #'s and size etc.

I was selling the frame on behalf on my retired frame builder Jim Bundy. I stand to gain nothing from selling it apart from helping an old friend. I have a few pics of Jim and his shed up on the wool jersey gallery pages ... http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/biciman/Bundy/Shed/

The most distinguishing thing about the frame is the way the seat stays attach to the seat lug and the lugs themselves seem to echo the same shape as a few early Carlton styles. There were many similar frames made here in Oz around that time but I (and Jim) always felt it was an English make. With that in mind I thought it a shame not to define it's history and at least keep an old example alive before it gets rebuilt and painted into something where it might not be distinguishable or preserved for the future.

I appreciate any input. I have an interested party for this frameset but his plans for building it might alter it's originality. If I had a positive ID it would then be easier to convince him of taking a different course with regard to how it's finished.
